Case studies
Case studies have different meanings for different people.
For most business schools, the case method is the groundstone of many classes. These 20-page documents describe a management problem or issue within a company, and serve as the basis for class discussion of this specific issue. The case study also provides a quick introduction to the relevant industrial sector.
For publications – be they magazines or newspapers – case studies typically refer to shorter articles.
In our mind, a case study refers more to a spirit than a specific format. In our view, case studies should suggest management lessons and communicate facts while providing a modicum of excitement.
What does Casium do?
We can improve the draft of your case study by editing the style for clarity and for appeal. For clarity we work at the three levels of the case: overall flow, paragraph organization and sentence structure. We look for improvement by removal of unnecessary complexity as well as repetition. We also look for improvement by adding vivacity to the voice and variety to the transitions.
We can condense your 20-page academic case study into a 4-page case that is more practical for executive education purposes.
For whom?
Business schools and other institutions that wish to produce a top-level case for international distribution.
